I'm a fifty-something with a full-time teaching job. I've played and performed music for more than 40 years. This includes bluegrass, contra/square dances, coffee house acoustic stuff, and small venue classic rock, contemporary country and blues. I've been in many bands, and just enjoy the whole experience of practicing, performing, and recording with other committed musicians. My main instrument is lead guitar, but I also can do backup and lead vocals. I've also played acoustic guitar and electric mandolin.

In my early years, mostly acoustic musicians like Flatt and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Stanley Brothers, Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, David Grisman, John Denver, Nanci Griffith, Gordon Lightfoot, and so on. In the past decade, my focus is on electric guitar, so: Jimi and SRV, of course, Eric Clapton, John Lee Hooker, Billy Gibbons, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, and so on.
A range of electric guitars, a Martin acoustic/electric guitar, Dean acoustic/electric resophonic guitar, a Godin acoustic/electric mandolin, four- and five-string basses, electronic drums, and a Yamaha keyboard. Several different amps (Peavy 2X12 100 watt, Marshall acoustic amp, Line 6 1X12 75 watt) and a small recording studio (mics, monitors, mixer, etc.).
