Drummer and guitarist seeking bassist for a new project with the intent of adding a singer and keys in the near future. We’d like someone who can bring riffs / ideas to the table. Not to sound cliche, but please have a positive attitude, we’re pretty laid back and our number one goal is to have fun and enjoy doing what we love. Must be 21 or over.
Even though we have various musical ideas already, every one of them is still considered a work in progress. So far, most of our tunes are rock oriented but we’d like to make music that draws from many different genres: rock, hard rock, blues, jazz, folk, acoustic, instrumental, and maybe even electronica. We also intend on doing a few covers.
We both have full time day jobs. We’re both male. Guitarist is in early 30s drummer is in mid 40s. We are currently practicing 2 nights a week. We have a room at Fort Knox Studios in Chicago (Montrose and Knox). The room sounds great, it has a powerful PA fed by a 16 ch. board as well as sound treatment on the walls and ceiling. It has stage lighting as well. All or our practices are recorded on a Zoom hand held recorder, close micd, fed by a mixer. We have Pro Tools recording capability for demo work but will definitely go to a professional studio / engineer for any material we intend on releasing.
Our goal is to eventually release a professionally recorded EP and hit the stage, in no particular order.
