Looking for folks to jam with and perform occasional gigs. Open to most situations and ideas. Covers are cool, especially if they are bands I'm into (see influences). However, I'd love to create something new.
I excel at hand percussion (congas/cajon) and am able to Integrate my playing with most styles, including rock, jazz, bluegrass, jam, progressive, and metal. Never played hip hop, funk, reggae, but I would love to. I have a great sense of timing and feel.

Influences
My formal music education was from 4th-12th grade. This included concert band (snare, bass drum, timpani, misc percussion), jazz band (congas and kit), and marching (bass drum and snare).
Post college and while I lived in NC, i resumed playing congas and was in a noisy rock band, where I essentially filled the role of the bass player. Additionally, I was in a group of bluegrass/country band where I played congas and washbord. (Congas and banjos mix surprisingly well).
Moved back to Buffalo early 2000s and had a brief stint in a progressive rythym band; picked up a new kit and was jamming with some metal dudes; and now I mostly have regular jams with an Americana/Dead/Rock/Folk group, playing congas and cajon.
