ABOUT THE BAND:
We are an experienced lead guitarist, bassist, and drummer starting a new cover band in the Los Angeles area playing top 40 hits that will fill up a bar. Once all band members are in place, our goal is to get a catalog of crowd pleasing songs together and then book weekly paid residencies. We're looking to have a lot of fun with this, but also have it generate a little bit of weekly income for the band members. Everything will be split equally amongst band members. We all have many years of performing / recording / touring experience and all professional gear.
GOALS:
Our initial goal as a band is to get a solid set of songs together, and then book one gig per week. It could be a weekly residency at the same bar, or 4 residencies playing once a month at 4 different bars, but one gig per week is the goal. Once the band is moving along we're also open to begin booking private gigs if the opportunity arises.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a lead singer that can successfully perform hit songs as they were originally recorded. We are not a jam band and we're not looking to re-interpret hit songs. We are looking to play music that people recognize and will want to sing along to, and that bars will want to pay us to play. The lead singer should have a great ear and be able to learn songs at home during the week, and be prepared to play them at a weekly rehearsal. We're looking for singers that are comfortable adapting to the styles of many different chart topping artists. We're looking for a lead singer who can be a great frontman, work the crowd and have fun. We're looking for reliable and punctual singer with a cohesive chemistry with the rest of the band. We would love to have someone that plays guitar or keys as well.
We're looking for a keyboard player with a great ear that can recognize all the sounds and parts in hit songs. We'll be covering many songs that rely on keyboard parts (Michael Jackson, Journey, Bon Jovi, etc..) so this is a very important position in the band. We also need someone who can sing backup vocals. If you play any guitar or other instruments as well that's a plus too.
