I have been playing guitar since 1959. Took 5 years of private lessions, learned how to read music. Used Mel Bay System plus some classical studies. Have taught the guitar for over 40 years. I read music and tabs. I prefer standard notation. I do a lot of old standards, show tunes and classic rock. Also some classical solo guitar. Have had and been involved with instrumental and vocal musicians. I prefer finger picking solo playing.
