ABOUT

I am an avid music fan and have been playing guitar for 50+ years. I played in bands all through high school and college with my last time on stage professionally being in 1987, but also did a yard party in Issaquah recently. After all these years working in the high tech industry I have decided it is now time to pursue this passion. Jeff Tweedy says I'm a songwriter and I believe him!

I'm looking to form or join a band to jam, maybe perform and maybe record original music as well as solid classic rock, pop & blues covers. If you are an interested guitarist, singer/songwriter, bassplayer, keyboard player and drummer then please contact me at guitarorth to set a jam.

Influences

Early influences and inspirations include Deep Purple (Blackmore inspired my first 1973 Maple Strat), Led Zeppelin (Page is HUGE!) Jeff Beck, Aerosmith (Joe Perry is very underrated), The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, CCR, David Bowie, Queen, Rush, Yes, REM, Bruce Springsteen, Jethro Tull, Robin Trower, Mott the Hoople, Bad Company, The Eagles, Tom Petty, Grand Funk, Eric Clapton, Journey, Styx, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Van Halen, Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Who and all the other usual suspects in this vein.

Lately, I find myself in awe of new influences Jack White, Joey Santiago, Nels Cline and Isaac Brock.
