ABOUT

I'd really like a monthly gig with a cool group! Currently working on a project to recreate 90s grunge tunes into acoustic depictions with a female twist. Would also love to work with some country artists, I love old country. Passionate, versatile, and independent singer but works well in teams. Rage A2-A5. Styles of music I love to perform include alternative Rock, Country, Bluegrass, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Blues, Reggae, Folk, Punk, Ska, Modern Pop and Hip-hop. I also perform a Christmas Holiday and Patsy Cline tribute setlist. Available for voiceovers.

Influences

Punch Brothers, Chris Thile, Tyler Childers, Patsy Cline, George Straight, The Judds, Lauryn Hill, Pepper, Incubus, Live, Saliva, Puddle of Mudd, Slightly Stoopid, Beatles, Roy Orbison, Fleetwood Mac, Sade, TLC, Mary J Blige, The Fugees, Toni Braxton, Elvis Presley, Gillian Welch, Mariah Carey, Adele, Ella Mai, Tamia, Aaliyah, Alanis Morrisette, The Cranberries, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Marleys, Buju Banton, The Dirty Heads- Just to name a few. Although my influences are fairly dated, I listen to anything and everything. If it feels good, it's good. As a kid, my Mother and Father introduced me to R&B, Raegge, Hip hop, Rock, Soul and Pop music (in the early 90s), while my grandparents shared with me their love for Country, Blues, and Gospel. It was also a pleasure to have known a mandolin player who introduced to me the Bluegrass Goat Rodeo Sessions which had a very unique influence on me in the way I enjoy classical acoustic music as well. In high school I sang in a 4 person girl rock band. In my few years of college I featured for multiple American Reggae Dub bands as backup vocals. Keeping a conversational tone, I am very emotive when I sing and I love to smile, tell jokes and entertain an audience inbetween and during songs. Singing is an expression of my soul, a true glass window into my feelings. I've been called "Kimberly Roots" and have been noted to have a lot of soul in my voice :)
