Halligan’s Ale House, an Irish themed friendly hometown bar, is open to the public and private memberships specializing in wings and burgers. We offer regularly scheduled live entertainment, karaoke, and occasional buffet meals for gatherings, celebrations, and fundraisers. Fun outside when the weather permits, enjoy the back porch. Country Joe, guitar player and singer. Plays bluegrass, country, southern rock and classic rock. Music is the heart and soul of his life since t he age of 8 years old. 110 percent dedicated to his music there's nothing more important. Playing throughout the Charlotte area Joe is versatile enough to walk the crowd and ask for requests. Over delivering all expectations, fans follow Country Joe Blythe and enjoy kicking back and listening to his great tunes.
Southern Breeze was formed March 16, 1991 by younger brother Herb Carter and I joined the band one week later playing with guys like Mike Novlenburger-Guitar player, Randy Little Bass Player and Bobby Sellers Guitar and Herb on Drums. Through the years we have changed and grown to who we are today, a very strong and exciting group of guys that I love like family and as a matter of fact, two of them are, Ronnie Carter on drums and Bill Carter on Bass Guitar. But we will never forget my younger brother Herb Carter who will always be Mr. Southern Breeze!
In 1993 there was a change in the band when Mike Helms joined the band, this turned the whole thing around and the band grew grew like crazy! He is fast with lighting like fingers, An ex heavy metal guitarist turned Southern Rock Country into a great thing for the band which is where we are today.
An electric blend of traditional and new country, peppered with roots in soul music as well. The sound can best be described as “Southern Fried Soul”. Each performance is a crowd rousing example of passion. From the first note to the last beat of each show, they take you on a musical ride ...
From Landis, Jeff started playing guitar at the age of 9 with roots in country music and classic rock . His personal favorite play list originated with gorge Jones and Willie Nelson He quickly was influenced by Bob Seger,Stevie Ray Vaughn including blues favaorite BB King and John Lee Hooker. Full band experience was at age 20. Jeff took a break from public venues and returned a few years developing his solo acoustic show.
It's a Shamrock Weekend starting Thursday March 17 at 6pm with a Free Irish Buffet. Shepherds Pie, Irish Stew, Soda Bread yum and more! BandStand Season 2016 welcomes Underground Owls at 8pm Green Beer and Irish Drink Specials.
