I’m what you might call a “bucket list” musician. I’ve been a music lover all my life, but due to a lifetime of seemingly incompatible hobbies and interests, I never made the commitment to pick up an instrument and learn it. So, a couple of years ago I made the commitment to make up for lost time.

My instrument of choice is the bass, and I’ve spent the past couple years pushing myself through on-line programs like Scott’s Bass Lessons and selected other supplementary resources. At this point I’ve got a pretty decent handle on basic theory, I can improv my way fairly well through blues and simple jazz progressions, and I’m getting pretty good at figuring out the riffs and bass lines of popular rock songs. I am very much a beginner, but I feel it’s time to reach out and connect with other music hobbyists who are looking for like-minded people to jam with.

My music interests are pretty varied, but since I am now a “bass player”, I can get into anything that grooves. Anything from old Motown or Soul to Classic Rock, Folk-Rock, or blues and jazz jams. Pretty much anything that will push me to become a better player.

Feel free to hit me up if some semi-serious casual jamming is something you’d be into.
