ABOUT

I have played professionally on and off since I was in high school including a full time touring band that covered Maine to Virginia. I've shared the stage with nationally known acts, done studio work, record on my own with other musicians around the world. My ideal gig right now is to find a talented guitarist/vocalist to do an acoustic type duo with. I have played in this setup recently in the Northeast and I play drums with my feet (kick/snare) with electronic triggers, and I play bass guitar at the same time (It works and I can do it!). I also sing backup and lead and would look to split the vocals with the guitarist depending on talent level. While I sold all my acoustic drums sets prior to moving to Fl full time, I do own Roland's high end V-Drum kit which are amazing! I kept acoustic cymbals, hardware, pedals, percussions instruments, electronics, mics and mic cables, bass guitars, bass amp, etc...
Outside of a duo I would love to be part of what I will call a "showcase band". By this I mean playing demanding rock music that people want to watch you perform, and not dance to. Top level musicians who can play the most demanding of music and do it very well... It's finding the right players to do this and do this well.
Supported multiple national acts including bands like Kansas, The Dixie Dregs, The Tubes.

Influences

My sweet spot is Rock and Hard Rock of the 70s into the 80s and many of the progressive acts such as Rush, Kansas, Yes, Journey (Gregg Rollie era mostly), Deep Purple, etc... I like most everything good in this time frame including the more classic acts like the Eagles, Elton John, America, etc... Love the bands with great vocals and harmonies and have been fortunate to have played with many talented musicians over the years that can cover this caliber of music very well. I would do a full band with the proper talent level and music choice - but I have played my share of late night bars and the like. I think the best way to describe it is I would do a performance type band, but not looking to play "stuff people want to dance to"... Done too much of that! Now it would have to be about showcasing talent.
