Influences
Harpo's nickname and early influence came from Big Walter Horton in the Chicago blues scene in the 70s. years of Rock n roll stage/studio engineering gave him a strong writing edge.Almost signed in 87 to EMI, and many close calls w fame later, Harpo & pals finally formed a band, HarpCo.
Bass, elect. lead, harpo on acoustic, and finally drums have shaped Harpo's folk ballads into powerful rock n roll, with a bluesy tone and soulful approach.
This , combined with a driving relentless stage presence, has made them a favorite on san diego's Adam's ave, where they play Rosie's, Triple Crown, lestat's, regularly.
