Need a guitarist or bassist? Give me a shout!
I'm a veteran blues-based classic rock guitarist in search of like-minded musicians: Serious, dedicated players looking to gig regularly. I’m hardworking, dependable and dedicated to any project I join.
The ideal fit for me would be a rootsy rock band that comfortably captures the groove of groups like the Heartbreakers, Seger and, especially, the Stones. I prefer a more loose, jam-oriented approach. Note that doesn’t mean sloppy playing is acceptable. But I prefer the approach of bands like the Allmans and CSNY over, say, the Eagles, polished to such a degree that any real excitement and life has been lost.
Check out my audio samples. All tracks were done entirely by me, using my guitars and GarageBand. Each was down within a couple of hours, with a mostly one-take approach. And please don’t deduct points for my vocals. I’m not looking to be a frontman!
I'm most comfortable playing rhythm guitar, but do enjoy playing lead as well, if my style better suits a particular song. I’m also more than happy to play bass in the right situation. I just want to play good, straightforward rock and roll with good musicians.
I recently purchased a jazz bass and am really enjoying polishing up my bass chops. I’ve long considered switching to bass, as they seem to be more in-demand. As it turns out, I may actually be better at bass than guitar.
It makes sense. My original instrument(s) were percussion. So rhythm has always been a strong suit.
My ideal group would include a keyboard player adept with the organ stylings of guys like Benmont Tench, Ian McLagen and Reese Wynans.

An off-the-cuff Floyd-sequel track I threw together in about an hour. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, despite the odd bum note here and there.
