Hawk Starling is a new band and we’re looking for band mates!
We have a backlog of material and new material to arrange and tweak before recording, which is a short-term goal. Our immediate goal is audience-building, so we’re looking for people who are into what we do and want to help us grow. Local and regional shows can begin once we find the right people!
We need a guitarist (or two!) versed in mainstream/commercial Rock. Whatever your definition of that is, know that we lean more toward the “Pop Rock” corner! This is not necessarily a “rhythm or lead” scenario - there aren’t guitar “solos” so much as hooks or dedicated parts in these songs.
We need a drummer who is also versed in this style. We’re ultimately looking for energy and personality; someone who can be the energy in the song when it is called for. Drums are a huge focus for us. If you like The Wonder Years, that’s the vibe we’re looking for behind the kit!
To be 100% transparent: This is not a paid gig or a “for hire” situation. When the shows pay, we get paid. No one is going to expect you to help fund anything.
We’re professionals and take this very seriously. It’s a career move for the two of us and we ultimately want people who want to do this with us vs. just having another gig.
