STAFF SINGER and VOLUNTEER SINGERS REQUESTED:
Christ Church Anglican (CCA) in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a TENOR section leader (paid) and volunteer singers (unpaid) to begin with the commencement of the 2022-23 choir season, which runs from the first rehearsal on September 7th, 2022, through the May 28th, 2023.
The choir at CCA is an ensemble of 14-20 singers, composed of volunteers who are supported by the efforts of the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass section leaders. Repertoire of the choir includes Anglican Chant, Renaissance polyphony, English anthems, contemporary choral works, and the finest examples of sacred choral music. The choir also supports the musical participation of the congregation.
The choir at CCA rehearses Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:00 PM, and sings at the 10:30 AM service on Sundays, as well as two choral Evensongs, various advent services, and services leading up to Easter.
Ideal candidates should be strong sight readers that exhibit a collegial spirit, working well with both professionals and nonprofessionals.
