SEEKING

I play guitar and bass and learning to play some mandolin...I am 35 years old and work full time and am a single dad...SO I am not able to dedicate 24/7 to music nor am I trying to become a rock star...
What I would like to do is find some people, such as a bass player, keyboardist, drummer, and singer and do some writing and recording and eventually play out locally...I am not interested in doing a bunch of covers...I would like to do some, but pick songs and play them in a way that reflects our own individual styles and the style we develop as a group...I am not looking for people with egos or in a rush to be out gigging or someone who expects to have 30 cover songs down by the end of the month so we can go play out...I would rather play for nothing and play my own material than play a bunch of covers and get paid...I have my own equipment including guitars, basses, and amps...I am tired of people who talk a good game but then never want to do anything...As I said above I am in no hurry...I would like to hook up with some poeple who want to jam once or twice a week regularly, writing, recording and enjoying music...I am not interested in jamming with someone who has and ego or who is impatient...My influences range from blues to metal to classic rock, country and more...If you are interested, are easy-going, have no ego and don't expect to make a full time job out of music, but still take it seriously, let me know...As you can tell maybe, I am a little jaded by musicians and the music scene...I am old enough to know what I want and don't want...I am honestly an average musician and a slow learner, but I love music, I live for it and it continues to keep and has kept me alive...By the way, In about 3 weeks I should have a practice place...Look for me on ...

Influences
Some of my favorite artists and influences include Black Sabbath, Gn'R, Lucinda Williams, Kid Rock, Tom Petty, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Misfits, Social Distortion...really too many to list...I like lots of blues like SRV, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, Hendrix and ZZ Top, and 70's outlaw country, Like Willie, Waylon, Jr., and DAC, classic rock, and 80's metal...I like just about anything from 60s Motown and rockabilly to hardcore and I am a huge Sinatra fan...However I really want to play blues...
EQUIPMENT
I currently play bass through an older model 100 watt Marshall combo...I use an Epi Thunderbird bass or a Fender J-bass...I play guitar through a Marshall MG series 100 watt half stack and use either an Epi Les Paul or Fender Tele or Strat, depending on what sound I want...I use on board effects or a Zoom effects pedal...
