One of the most pressing health needs we have today in Alabama is preventing diabetes and its complication. Diabetes is a disease that prevents the body from using sugar (glucose) correctly; thus causing an elevation of the blood sugar level and health concerns. I lost my father, oldest brother & sister, to the disease. I have been blesses at the age of 64 to not have the disease, but my wife is battling the disease & lost her father as well.
