one of mokshya's founding fathers is no longer with our band. our friend and brother, Salvador, has decided he no longer has the time and energy to juggle his family and ours. we have decided to relocate the band to Oregon in 9 months, and he wasn't willing to move his wife and two beautiful daughters. Sal is a great guy and a dear friend, and we will miss him greatly.

but......
the show must go on.
so....
we are now seeking a second bassist - yes this IS a two bass player band. we call our sound tribal/prog/metal. we have wriiten an entire album since recording our e.p., and we REALY can't wait for people to hear the direction our music has been going.
we have some prerequisites for any interested in auditioning.
1) please be able to play your instrument. and we don't mean the ability to play tabs, or riffs you have written at home and practiced for hours. we are looking for a musician with the ability and desire to "jam". if you can't sit down with five other guys and just make spontaneous music - this isn't your band.
2) must be willing to relocate. we are all moving into one house in flagstaff, az in october. we have signed with an indie label there and will begin recording mid october. full time touring by 2008.
3) we are looking for someone as obsessive about this life as the rest of us. this is what we do. practice at least 3 times a week, and we will be in the studio nearly every night until the album is complete.
4) we are a band with a message, and unless you are like-minded, this is NOT your band. we are calling for a complete social, religious/spiritual, political revolution in this country. we love what our country is supposed to be, but are aware of what it has become - mindless fascism. we love life and god and we believe Jesus was a enlightened man, but we also believe the Catholic church to be the most evil organization of the last 2000 years. we believe the world is at a critical turning point. humanity has the opportunity to leave behind this heavy, hateful 3rd deminsional level, and elevate itself to a much lighter, loving 4th deminsional existence. we believe music is critical to both our individual awakening and the collective awakening of humanity.

so we play! :-)

please, just respond to this post if interested, and we will go from there. but let me make it clear - we are NOT looking for a hired gun. we are looking for a new member of our family, and we are a very tight-knit family who love each other very deeply. and we plan on staying together for years to come.
