ABOUT

The Missoula Moonlighters was formed in 1927 by Lonesome Lou Underwood, his brother Shep and mother-in-law Clementine Willows, who was said to have a voice that brought the bears out of hibernation. The trio made several 78 sides for the Rhapsonix label including, "Purple Twilight Time" and "Porqupine Pie." Over the years the group went through many personnel changes which included legendary performers Pumpkin-Jack (Pete) Webster and Blondie (Phil) Bonnet. In its current carnation the band consists mostly of members of the il-fated Whereabouts Unknown.
