We are Hūj, an Alternative Pop band with Reggae and Funk influences, we are currently holding auditions for a permanent backing vocalist/keyboard player.

We are influenced by bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, and Walk the Moon.

A little bit about us:
We've opened for We The Kings, The Hush Sound, sold out The Loft at UCSD, and played shows at Porter's Pub, SOMA, SDSU, and more.
We released our debut album Elevate on 4/25 this year.
Our current lineup consists of Graham Richardson (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Jordan Field (drums), Aviv Silverman (bass), and Henry Rice (lead guitar)

In the coming months we will:
Become the most promising new talent on the San Diego music scene
Gig frequently outside of San Diego
Increase our fan base to pull 150+ fans to shows in 3 different markets
Shoot a music video
Sign a booking/management deal

What we're looking for:

Solid foundation in music theory
Confident singer, able to harmonize with lead vocalist
Be able to play and learn songs by ear
Must have great stage presence, and positive attitude
Having your own keyboards and/or synthesizers is a huge plus
Reliable transportation to and from practice and gigs
We're all college students, so ideally we're looking for someone who's between 21 and 26 years old
Ability to travel on short trips with approximately two weeks notice
