I just love making music. Many cities; many states. Some great bands; some not so. Ive played bars, clubs, churches... auditoriums, weddings, partys, cookouts. Inside; outside... doesnt matter. It doesnt matter the size of the band, or experience level (unless its a working gig, then 3 set experience is nice to have), as long as were in the pocket together. And its gotta feel good. Otherwise, why do it? You touch people with your music. As a musician; thats your responsibility. When everybody is together, its all worthwhile.

EQUIPMENT
I have several sets; all aplication specific. Mapex Meridian Birch Pro Hybrid 7-piece for the studio work and big gigs. Holston Custom Journeyman 4-piece for the quick set and tear down, and when i just need to "Power Pocket" thru some classic rock or r&b gig or country jams. And a Cajon set with a kick and snare and remote hats for the accoustic lobby bar, coffee house gig.
I have around 30 cymbals. Depending on which set i use, acoustics of the room, and how i feel; ill mix match em up with others they tone out well with.
I have a complete set of mics,2x SM57, 4xSM56, AKGD112, Subkick, AT overheads, DDrum triggers, pressure mics
Then theres tamborines, congas, jimbe, wood block, chimes, gong, gong drum.
