I am from London, UK where we have a growing but still quite small Country music scene. I am looking to collaborate with musicians/songwriters from Nashville to produce some new 'hybrid' material which has a traditional feel but is styled at the new market. I play guitar/piano and therefore particularly interested in singers/songwriters to work with.
I would love to find a talented female singer, you could be young and looking for something unusual and cool to collaborate on or you could be a seasoned pro in the bars and clubs and wanting something fresh to put on your resume.
We would start with a few carefully selected covers and then work up to some original material. A lot of the co-writing and interactive sessions will have to be online! It will be a huge challenge. Recorded material can be sent backwards and forwards for collab and as I have some good gear I'm happy to mix and master anything produced.
Once we have some material, or just because we are working well together and for the sheer hell of it we could gig in both the US and here in the UK. I can get lots of gigs/open mics in London where country goes down really well. Similarly if someone was able to do a similar thing in Nashville that would be cool too.
Age wise I'm 41. I play guitar/piano and sing too. Demo material (covers) available on request. Very open in terms of influences and styles. I like lots of very traditional country but also a lot of modern stuff too.
Female singers with a great voice and that real authentic Tennessee sound are straight to the top of my list, although I'm not looking for just a single person.

Influences
Traditional to modern country (all styles) I love Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Tammy, Dolly right up to modern pop country stuff thats really catchy. I enjoy some southern rock and cool bluegrass mash ups too like Steve N Seagulls (very cool if you haven't heard them). I like the idea of old town string bands with real instruments.
