Looking to get together with like-minded musicians who are interested in creating expressive, meaningful, possibly complex music together. I’ve been playing guitar for 20+ years. While I’ve been mostly focusing on percussive acoustic guitar over the last few years, I’m also well-versed on the electric guitar. In a former life, I played jazz trombone for 10+ years and have a heavy influence from many of those genres (including but not limited to progressive jazz, funk, rock/jazz hybrid).

To be completely honest, I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for. I would be down for finding another acoustic guitar player/vocalist in the Dispatch-esque genres (I love singing backing vocals/harmonies). I’d also be interested in something a little more complex in the rock/jazz area (I’ve been really into The Reign of Kindo lately and would jump at the opportunity to play this style). I’d prefer to play with folks in their 30s and 40s.

I am open to gigging but that’s not a must have for me. Ultimately I really just want to get lost in the creative process with other musicians. If it leads to gigs, that’s great. If not, that’s cool too.

Commitment-wise, I’d likely only be able to rehearse 1x/week max (possibly every other week). As my kids get older, I can definitely be more flexible.

If you think I might be a good fit, feel free to reach out!
