I’m a bass player first and have developed a bit of a sound with it. I like to experiment sonically.
I work with ableton and am maybe a novice user. I’ve worked out a hundred or so tracks and working ideas in electronic. But, I’m mostly focused on working out this bass guitar lead sound.
I play a few basses. Primarily I play an American P Bass. It has big bright pots and big pickups. So it gets a powerful bright sound. I’ve been working with diads and diatonic chords/scales.
I have a similar guitar style to my bass playing. Although I use larger chords and more of them.
I am a punk rock influenced player first. But my influences are very broad across jazz, rock, blues, funk/fusion, metal, minimalist, classical etc.
I like a left right piano hand relationship between the bass and guitar. Manipulation of tone makes so much possible for exchange between these instruments.
I’ve played in several punk and hardcore bands. I’ve also played in zydeco washboard and accordion type bands. I’ve written and played for others. My recording experience spans 5 records and 5 genres. So, I’m no master but I’m not new to the studio.
I’m looking for players to make friends with. Collaborate and expand musicianship and skills. I wouldn’t mind having projects that played one good local show a year. A year of collaboration, writing and practice and a show to share the fruits of our efforts.

EQUIPMENT
American P Bass with custom pots, wiring and pickups. A custom setup Squire Jazz with stock pickups, brass neck nut, heavy bridge and real heavy strings set up for a step down from E standard. MarkBass combo, mini act can, marshal combo dark glass tube effects. Several other pedals and small amps. I primarily run the markbass with the act and the 15” Marshall combo chained. I run my effects through the Marshall. MacBook Pro with Ableton 8 and some 8 KRKs. A fender kingman bass several acoustic guitars.
