Vocalist, percussionist, lyricist. I write song parodies and have written a few originals over the years; would love to collaborate with others to flesh those originals out more. I would also love to collaborate on jamming, rehearsing, playing gigs around town, and possibly recording. I'd like a shot at the music industry (whatever THAT IS), but mainly I want to have fun playing music with others and for others.

And Now I Am Bound (to the tune of "Johnny's Gone For a Soldier", by Solas. new lyrics: E. Burke)
And Now I Am Bound (to the tune of "Johnny's Gone For a Soldier", by Solas. new lyrics: E. Burke) Year: 2014 Album: Home demo
Rough recording of one of my "serious parodies", where I re-write the words of a favorite song and try not to be funny; light-hearted, maybe, but not funny. I love the first verse of the traditional song, so I kept it as-is. I also love Solas' jazzy arrangement of the ballad, so I attempt to mimic that. I sneak in the title of a bluegrass song here, too....can you spot it? And "shule aroon", means "walk, my love" in Irish Gaelic. Myself on vocals, bodhran, and finger snaps.

"The Love of Chocolate" (to the tune of "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkle. E.A.Burke
"The Love of Chocolate" (to the tune of "Sound of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkle. E.A.Burke Year: 2016 Album: home demo Genre: Acoustic
A parody dedicated to one particular food group which inspires both physical and emotional infatuation. The song is basically telling of a sweet tooth's date rape with a non-human, non-animal, so it's TOTALLY justified. Me on vocals, mouth percussion, and woven rattan basket shakers from India. Chocoholics Unite!

Someone New, Something True (New Version. E.A.Burke 11/28/2015)
Someone New, Something True (New Version. E.A.Burke 11/28/2015) Year: 2015 Album: Home demo Genre: Progressive
Updated (and more musically-interesting) version of an original song. Myself on vocals and the Korg Wavedrum. Recorded live in my living room in one take, thought it came out well.

"Yearning" (E.A.Burke 5/15/2016)
"Yearning" (E.A.Burke 5/15/2016) Year: 2016 Album: Home Demo Recording Genre: World
My newest toy - the Native American-style cedar flute in G Pentatonic, made by a friend of mine. An improvised melody over a simple drone track. I hope you are inspired by this sound as much as I am now.
