ABOUT

I have several musical projects/bands going on these days.

1) Funky rock/soul/old-school r&b group: WE ARE SEEKING EITHER A NEW GUITARIST OR NEW KEYBOARDIST...... either M or F...
The Covid Layoff really chipped away at us, as I am sure it has a lot of bands.

We have a solid repertoire, and are gig connected; were on a nice little roll right when everything closed down a year ago.
GOOD musicians, not weekend warriors.

2) Also co-lead a Jazz/Lounge/Torch Song quartet/quintet; Jazz standards, ballads, bossas and some Spanish language and rock tunes arranged as Jazz numbers....we are gigging a lot, actually...
. This band isn't looking for anyone, specifically BUT...we wouldn't mind finding another jazz-oriented player who can do some sub work for us for gigs, occasionally...
Again, this group gets a LOT of work.

3) The fun never stops, eh ? My other project idea is to form an acoustic group which performs a mix of pop/rock/traditional latin/Spanish language tunes. NOT a rock or electric band, more of an acoustic trio or quartet...chill, classy. I would like to start with finding a SINGER for that. These would be songs en Espanol.

Me ? Personally, I am interested in playing with folks who are into Jazz, or groove-oriented sorta music - NOT easy to find these types out here in the High Desert, lemme tell ya'.
Latin Jazz as well, some Rock en Espanol I could do too but I am not really available for more than spot work on that.
Not a cumbia player, thanks. I also am not interested in bands which sorta 'play everything'. Not my thang.
So, whatever instrument you may play, or sing...if you like the sorta music I describe here, hit me up (see email below).

I am open to being part of other folks' projects as well...but again more likely as a substitute given my availability.

I have been a bassist for over 40 years, both Upright and Electric. Gig experience with various groups in San Francisco, New England, and Portland. Have played in groups here which have gigged in Paso, Cruces, and TorC...

Jazz (straight ahead) and Jazz Fusion player, also experienced in Soul, Lounge, R&B, Afro-Caribbean, Blues, Latin, Salsa, Reggae, Ska, World, etc....

(FYI, if you POST YOUR E-MAIL OR TEL# on your profile, makes it easier, cheaper, and faster for folks to reach you ;) )

EQUIPMENT

Seriously ???? Does it matter what kind of axe you play ?

If you can play a 2x4 strung with shoelaces and nails, and make it sound good, you're there.
