ABOUT

Hi! I'm Nick, I'm a 22 year old trans man (pre surgeries and hormones and stuff, so I'm still very much a soprano). I've been playing the piano since I was about 3, the guitar for a bit (though I'm not great), and I've been writing music for about 10 years. I spent a year and a half at UNC Greensboro as a vocal student. I've been playing keyboard/singing in my church's worship band for about 8 years. I would love to join a contemporary band and lend my voice and songwriting skills to it, as well as learn whatever I can from my bandmates on the side!

Influences

I'm a big fan of Sara Bareilles, Ed Sheeran, and Lin Manuel Miranda in terms of lyrics. Musically, I've been told I have a distinctly musical-theatre blend to my music, adding in whatever I've been listening around when I write a song (when I'm depressed, my Evanescence really jumps out, but when I've been listening to a lot of Christian stuff, my music sounds a bit more like that.)
