UNCOMFORTABLE SILENCE™ IS POWER ROCK!

Formed in 2003, this Central Jersey band plays with heart in every performance and gives their fans an astounding experience. With their powerful hooks and edgy vocals, Uncomfortable Silence’s music has been described as “upbeat power rock.”

After a life threatening car accident and subsequent years of rehabilitation and perseverance, KIMMEE MASI (Drums) decided she wasn’t going to let the pain affect her dream. While out of commission, Kimmee put all her efforts into songwriting; authoring more than 30 songs in a five-year period. Ask anyone and they’ll tell you music and passion is the drive for this kid.

Kimmee found Bassist JESSICA KEHOE. Jess was “the rockin’ bass chick from the Jersey Shore.” Her sense of style, combined with her driving bass lines, gave the music the power it needed… In 2003 Uncomfortable Silence was born.

Guitarist TOMMY BARNES was playing lead guitar for a local cover band when Jess approached him about the music. Tommy knew that his creativeness and passion would be the edge Uncomfortable Silence needed. When Tommy's not adding lightning lick guitar sounds, you can find him building one!

The band began playing the Jersey Shore in June of 2004 and released a limited edition CD in December 2004. The CD received rave reviews and got airplay on a local Jersey Shore radio station but the band struggled to find their niche. The music was missing the edge that they all envisioned.
