I'm looking for some folks with a similar range of taste (see the influences below) to get together, write some tunes, and play some local gigs. My musical aspirations are to put together a band - power trio to a 5 or 6 piece? It's more taste and the vibe vs strict numbers, practice once, maybe twice a week and then play a few local shows which culminates at playing a decent slot at the Urban Lounge on a Friday or Saturday night in SLC. Perhaps doing a recording? Me, I'm a middle aged 50 something dude who wants to connect with other musicians with similar taste (bass, drums, vocals, keys, horn player ???) and do the aforementioned activities.
I like some the local stuff that's happening in SLC like the Mellons, Body Of Leaves, Plastic Cherries, Dad Bod etc. -
