ABOUT
As of about 7PM last night (2/8/11) we are no longer auditioning drummers, guitarists, or keyboardists (thanks guys and sorry to those I'll be calling today to cancel tryouts for). Troy (TroyDrums on bandmix) did his homework and knocked our socks off last night while we tried out Vann Johnson on lead guitar/backup vocals. Vann was amazing also, and fit right in... in fact the chemistry between all of us was like magic. It won't take us long to be gig-ready, and giving the region something that they don't see very often from local cover bands.
Check out .thirdobsession to hear some of Michael's voice and my bass playing. BUT, the NEW cover band GROOVE CIRCUS will NOT be hard rock. We'll be playing ALL recognizable hits and getting the crowd dancing and keeping you dancing ALL NIGHT! Funk, pop, dance-able rock, classics... all the best stuff that you wanna hear and shake your ass or bob your head too.

Influences
As a bassist, my influences vary from the Motown greats to the best metal bassists like Cliff Burton. Currently, my faves are Flea, Commerford from Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, Les Claypool, Sean Anderson of Finger 11 (such groove!!)
