Retired farmer. Main musical passion is writing. Main passion is my 3 year old granddaughter, my new grandson, and the outdoors. I love the Lord and work him into my songs pretty often, but not always. I fingerpick most songs, strum some with thumb or claw hammer style. Would really like to get with 1 to 4 other folks (could not care less what race, age, or gender) and play at any type venue where crowd is there to listen. I can sing on key, sorta, occasionally, limited range, struggle with chronic hoarseness, but I truly love it. I’ve written quite a few songs, made a few demos, and have a gazillion unfinished ones lying around, and recently released my first CD, “RAIN AND BOWS” by Jocko and friends. Please listen on Spotify, YouTube, iTunes, several more. You may decide you’d rather listen to fingernails on chalkboards. Working on releasing a second one in spring 2021. Got a late start after retiring, by I write every day and mainly play my own music. I have only co-written a couple of times, but really enjoy it. I recently moved to Oxford, Ms from northwest Tn.Wanna have fun, meet easy-going musicians and vocalists and see what happens. I would love to find some folks that enjoy playing original, folky, bluegrassy, Americana music, start out practicing, playing locally, and see what happens. No drama, jealousy, or serious problems that sometimes seem to plague musicians. I wanna have fun, and hopefully find a cult following for a little different sound than what is being played on radio. Thanks for reading and any interest. God bless.
