Jackals of Earth will be a band of serious, dedicated musicians that can take original song writing to the next level -- a positive and professional mindset with no excessive drinking/drugs or other destructive behavior. The direction of this band will require versatility as a musician since style ranges from acoustic to borderline metal.

The audition process will differ depending on the instrument/musician trying out (details below) and everyone is encouraged to review the five tracks currently posted to :

Audition Details

Lead Guitar: Looking for a lead guitarist that is comfortable playing EVERY style represented in the tracks posted. Leads and solos should be articulate and have a distinct style. Lead guitarist must be able to contribute guitar riffs and add to the song in terms of writing. Songwriting capabilities will be a focus of the audition, along with ability to learn and play existing material.

Bass: Bassists are encouraged to audition! BUT the audition process will vary depending on the state of the band. If no drummer/guitarist are available to jam or have not yet been recruited, bassists will be asked to write/record material to the existing tracks. Otherwise the audition process will be a standard meet up and jam out type of deal.

Drums: Material posted is created through a drum program, not a live drummer. Drummers should be able to write their own drum parts in a style that is able to keep the same energy, tightness and (sometimes) heaviness of the material as it is depicted in the programmed drum beats posted online.

General requirements:
*Practice 2-3 times a week
*Local shows 1-4 times a month, largely avoiding selling tickets, girl scout cookies, etc.
*Showcases (sometimes out of town) a few times a year once band is established
*Touring is not likely or expected for the foreseeable future
*Professional gear or the means to acquire
*Enough experience to be in a band with other adults
*Interest in cover gigs to raise band funds
