ABOUT

I'm really looking for a few musicians who are interested in bringing back rock n roll and the influences that created it like soul, blues, americana/folk but still trying to keep it relevant to today's listeners in certain ways. To me rock really isn't a particular good genre by itself. I can think of a lot of average, underwhelming rock bands. I think rock was at it's best when it was more of a garnish. You play blues and soul and add attitude and you get rock n roll. .

Heavy, intense R&B and loud blues rock styling. Something with a good groove, loud drums, heavy bass, big riffs, and huge vocal presence for someone with a gritty soulful voice. I'm open to start ups and easy to get along with.

Also, someone below 30 or so would be ideal.

Anyways a bit about myself- I'm very passionate and not a flake, egoless and super easy to get a long with, i'm 24 years old and moved here from Texas to pursue music.

Influences

Band wise I draw influences from as much different kind of music as possible and include that in what I write somehow. I dig Led Zeppelin(biggest influence), Rival Sons, RHCP, CCR, Grace Potter, Beatles, Lightning Hopkins, Howlin' Wolf, Black Keys, Kansas, Parlor Mob, Neil Young, Ryan Bingham, Hayes Carll, Pink Floyd, Ray Lamontagne, Grateful Dead, Rush, Dr. Dog, Heartless Bastards, Chuck Berry, Junior Kimbrough, AC/DC, Dylan Wolfmother, Guns & Roses, Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, My Morning Jacket, The Animals, Robert Johnson, Lead Belly, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, Alabama Shakes, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Bad Company, The Eagles, Skynyrd, and those are just a few really. Anything that grooves well.

These are main influences, but I could go on forever, there's something good to take from every style of music.
