I am a 32 year old guitar player - i used to be limited in my scope of playing, but playing with better musicians than me has really helped me to widen my horizons with my guitar playing. Now i'm looking to
a) Join an existing project who needs a strong rhythm guitar player or a solid lead player
b) Start a new project with like minded musicians
c) Meet someone who wants to write songs together, and let nature take its course with anything else

I'm a father with a full time job so my practice times would likely be limited to weekends. I can practice on my own and pick up a lot in my man cave, so if i was in a cover band, i would do most of the work at home and then practice prior to gigs. For originals i have about 20-30 original songs and am continually writing

I have a lot of influences - most of them have changed over the years. Metallica got me into playing guitar, so i have a soft spot for anything Metallica related. However, most of the songs i've written have been more mellow and / or emotional (without the crying). I just like soaking up any influences as i believe it makes you a much more well-rounded musician.
