ABOUT

BACK STORY/OVERVIEW: I'm a producer and a solo recording artist and I'm looking to create a headliner band and also a stand alone gigging cover band. Meaning that I'd always have a band for shows of my own, but the band can also make a name for itself through various public and private events (i.e. restaurant gigs, club venues, weddings, nonprofit events, etc) with or without me. That's kind of my vision for the band. My heart is to put on the best possible performance I can as an artist, but also empower and support the band members as musicians and individual professionals. I know a lot of session musicians already, so I'm looking for people that are willing to gig and do recording sessions as needed. I can work out compensation for the session work with the individual musicians as we go (you tell me what you need and I'll tell you what I can do). With the gigging, we'll have to go about it as a joint effort. I'm am trying to make a name for myself and I want to help a band and the individuals therein make a name for themselves. The bassist plays mostly contemporary r&b and the guitarist plays mostly rock/alternative. So this should be fun :)

I have 2 rehearsal spaces and office suite and a recording studio to use at my disposal. I own one of the rehearsal spaces and the office suite and a friend of mine owns the other rehearsal space and recording studio. I have some basic recording equipment, but I record all my masters at my friend's place. I also have a manager and a promotional team of 3, one in DC, one in Maryland and one in Los Angeles. I've worked behind the scenes for a long time, so between my resources and skill sets, that's why I'm able to accomplish a lot pretty quickly.

I'll be looking to do this in layers. If we get together and rehearse and find that we have good chemistry and a vision that 'fits together', then heck yea, let's go for it. I'm a loyalty kind of person and most definitely anti-drama, so if you, me and the others can make a good fit, then I'd hope to get a good vibe going with the few of us - and then add whoever else we'll need that will fit into that current vibe. You know what I mean? My music is very honest, but my heart to promote positivity overall while being true to the emotions of life. So you won't find me singing with profanity, vulgarity, violence, drug abuse, etc. And you won't find me doing those things in real life either. Again, listen to my music to see what I mean. I would hope the band members are on this same page. We don't have to share the same belief system, but I hope we can agree on that. Negativity overload is just not my thing. All in all, I want to have fun, build lasting professional relationships, make awesome music and try to broaden the horizons for everyone. Thanks. <3

P.S. NOT TO BE SEXIST, BUT... it would be grand if we had ONE OTHER GIRL in this band playing guitar or keys or something. :D Just so that when we travel I won't always be the only chick with a bunch of guys haha. If not, it's fine.. but just sayin.. if you're a girl, don't be shy. K thanks bye.
