ABOUT

Playing and reading chops are very strong. Performance chops even stronger. I’m not a drunk but I like a drink before and after a gig or rehearsal. Not during. I listen with ears that have grown over the years, metaphysically rather then anatomically. I enjoy Peter Erskine, Steve Gadd, the Apice brothers, Alex Accuna, Buddy & Gene. I enjoy a great solid, low and high dynamics and respect other players that understand musicality and performance. I learn before playing and woodshed before rehearsal. I avoid players of any genre and any self proclaimed expert who leaves their axe cased up between rehearsals and between rehearsals and gigs. I use cheat sheets but they are thrown aside once the tune is worked and placed on the set list. Or not. Set lists are a crutch sometimes.
