ABOUT

I'm back! I played seriously and did some recording years ago. Then, after great tragedy and loss, I sold my (tons of) gear and walked away. I thought it was a closed chapter. But God had other plans. After a long hiatus, He brought it back into my life. So, I put together a respectable kit, and started working to burn off the rust and bone up my chops. I'm hoping to find other musicians who love Jesus and want to make excellent music that honors Him! (I hope this helps fill in some blanks.)

Here's my original blurb:
I'm a Christian (rock) drummer AND songwriter with a growing catalog of songs looking to put together a Christian rock band. I'm looking for a hot guitarist, strong lead singer, singing bass player and keyboard player... who love the Lord and want to make excellent music to extend His kingdom. Age is not important, unless you're too young to be responsible and committed, or too old to play. ;-)

Influences

This is important to help determine if we would mesh, so I'll try to be neither laconic nor loquacious, but (hopefully) strike a good balance. ;-)
Musical influences are primarily what I would consider tasteful, melodic ROCK/pop --- NOT grunge, rap, or country, etc.-- (e.g. Bon Jovi, Journey, Foreigner, Boston, Triumph, Heart, Pat Benatar, Starship, Styx, Toto, Chicago, VH, Def Leppard, etc. etc. This is merely to give you an idea of musical influences. I respect their musicianship, not their philosophy of life).

As for drummer influences, there are too many to name, but here are a few: Peart, Smith, Phillips, Aldridge, Biery, Porcaro, Mercer, Paice, Bonham, Lang.... I try to learn something from every drummer I see/hear.
