Hi, I’m a New York-based, 34-year-old guy looking to meet like-minded people to create something awesome. Primarily a bassist but I can play guitar too. I’m mainly interested in punk, but also open to heavier stuff.
Just to eliminate the crazies—Covid safety is important to me, but happy to meet up and practice with reasonable precautions.
Age and image aren’t important, more the ability to make some music and have a beer with each other after. I have a day job so I’m not looking for a full time gig here, but equally I would like to be part of something where everyone’s committed and wants to write music, practice regularly, and record with the aim of getting tight for when venues reopen and we can play shows. Definitely keen on being part of a team.
The music samples below are me on bass and guitar, get in touch and let’s talk if you think I’d be a good fit for your project! Shoot me a message at jim dot rundle at rhymeswithwahoo dot com.

When The Walls Fell // How Prophetic (Demo)
When The Walls Fell // How Prophetic (Demo)An eye for an eye leaves the whole damn world blind, how prophetic. Seven billion heads, fourteen billion eyes now can't see how we can break or what it might take to prevent it. Why not keep to the fold if the fold is where you want to be? And there is no escape while there's money to make as those prophets must be seen to rise, these are difficult times, don't you see? It's no spring or crusade and it's no choice you made if you live it, it's just where you were born times by how many lies you believe... So give thanks that you live in a place where this song can be written. And if we're ungrateful, won’t you show us how great we can be? If you're born into sin then I'm telling you now you're forgiven, and if you're living to die then please do not do so around me. Lie to me, tell me my free will is bound to prophecy. I feel exhausted hearing stupidity and moral writs from men with no morality, or sense of irony. Your made-up deity won’t get a thing from me.

When The Walls Fell // Abandon All Hope (Demo)
When The Walls Fell // Abandon All Hope (Demo)Now we're all losing our minds, his time we really got it wrong. We took an early exit when we just did not need one. And we couldn't see the signs, we were all blinded by the fog made of intolerance and lies. Bigotry, self serving fluff So we took a turn hard right, looked at the cliff and jumped straight off. So this here's your country back, guess what? It's fucked. Is it leftist despondency to say this economic slump is just the first circle of Hell? The ticket that we bought will take us straight to places Dante never even dreamed of. So what happened to the country I used to love? Used to be the odd occurrence, but now it's all we seem to hear: Another hate-filled bastard spewing poisonous ideas about who is and isn't welcome. It's like we let Moseley win, and we're facing down the brown shirts--Enoch's marching them again. So I'll stand here with the Dagoes, Frogs, the Jerries and Polskis. You wanna fuck with them? Well mate, you'll be fucking with me. Yes this is a call to action, yes this is a call to arms. It's a love letter to reason, it's a love letter to France? It's about time to be counted, time to tear down all these walls. And if you just didn't think, then it's your fault... It's all your fault.

When The Walls Fell // They Shall Not Pass (Demo)
When The Walls Fell // They Shall Not Pass (Demo)It's not alright that you're alt-right, in fact, it's really not okay. You embody everything wrong with the entire world today. It might be bad to punch a Nazi but it's worse to let them speak. And I don't want the path of least resistance because they prey upon the weak. I get that people are allowed different points of view, but yours is too abhorrent, so we're coming after you We're coming after you! Not with hatred, not with violence, but with peace and hope and love. And if you don't fucking like it, then we'll kick your face clean off. Because two wrongs don't make a right, but there are economies of scale: Nick a Mars Bar, get told "naughty"; commit hate crimes, get told "no bail." I get that people are allowed different points of view. But yours is fucking bullshit, so we're coming after you!

When The Walls Fell // Last of the Mohicans (Demo)
When The Walls Fell // Last of the Mohicans (Demo)Tommy was a wild one, stayed out late and got in fights for fun. Shaved his head to the bone, combat boots and a Harrington. No one ever asked him why, if they had he’d have said: "I don’t know, it’s just my life." But then the time went marching on, and Tommy had to grow up, he had his days in the sun There must be more to life than the nine to five, the white shirt, black tie. Looking through dead eyes. Tommy was in a punk band, played every night, held the world in his hands. Didn’t make too many pounds, but he didn’t need them, didn’t want them Once I tried to ask him why, he said: "I dunno, it’s what I want from life." Then by the next time I saw him, he was suited with a briefcase, and I think he was crying.
