SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I've been playing guitar for 15+ years (I'm 30). , but primarily as a hobbyist with no real goals in mind. With a lot of practice in recent years, I think I'm in a place where I can come up with interesting song ideas, alongside a load of guitar-tricks in the arsenal.
I can sing (poorly) and play, but it's really more of a tool to make cool ideas I'd like someone with some skill to help bounce around into something great!
As a 9-5 worker, I'd love to practice a few times per week, and get some originals created.

Influences
I've actually been challenging myself to only listen to new music recently, so this is a bit weird to write right now. My favorite bands of all time are Coheed & Cambria and Bad Religion. I listen to a lot of punk/post-adjacent- NOFX, Leftovercrack and the Descendents are my more popular favorites. Drug Church, Brigades, and Cursive are some smaller bands with things about them that I'd love to imitate... I get down with Ska-Punk a few times of year.
Getting heavier, I think Priest and Maiden are the OG riff kings - I can do a ton of chuggy-riffing, and even some leads. I appreciate a ton of metalcore, but not necessarily as an interest to play it.
If we're talking about classics - I think Foreigner is the real singles king - The Beatles are a natural baseline - I recently gave Kiss a try and realized I'm a KISS fan, somehow.
