I am mainly a rhythm guitar player, strumming and singing. I play harmonica and bass too. I started playing guitar when I was 12 and took enough lessons to get the basics. Once I learned chord charts and shapes I went rogue. I have been in a handful of bands over the years and played at parties, benefits, bars and festivals. I have worked for many bands as a sound and lighting tech. This stuff gets in your blood and it won't come out.

Influences
As a kid I loved The Monkees and the Banna Splits. Then I wandered into late 60's and early 70' country music. I liked Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, Glen Campbell, Charley Pride, Tom T Hall. When I started playing guitar I learned to play my country favorites, then learned a bunch of John Denver, Jim Croce, Gordon Lightfoot songs and I would bring my guitar everywhere and play for anyone who would listen. As a teen I seemed to avoid the popular music and discovered Progressive Rock. Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson, ELP, UK, Utopia, Rush, Saga, Yes. In middle school and a new batch of friends I got caught up in top 40 rock radio hits. In high school, my friend's older brother had an all original band and that's where we would hang out. From there we became the band roadies and set up the stage equipment for all the gigs. Eventually the band switched to all top 40 to just to get gigs. I followed my friend's brother through 3 different bands and eventually started playing in the band. Harmonica and then guitar. Currently my musical influences are still Progressive Rock and discovering more new artists thanks to the internet, Spotify and Pandora. I am also into bluegrass now with the expanding popularity of Billy Strings, Sierra Hull and Molly Tuttle. I could go on but you get the idea.
