ABOUT

A monstrously funky bass player. When I started playing I skipped 4-strings and went right to 6-string fretless. I blame Les Claypool. I mostly play a somewhat normal fretted 5-string nowadays, but depending on the musical situation I might get the fretless back out.

If you want to play crazy funk music that grooves so hard it takes off into space and may or may not return to earth, I am your dude. Let's get serious.

Influences

Way too many to list. Think "crazy funk music" and what do you come up with? Yeah, that stuff. Is a B3 organ involved? I might listen to it. Do lots of hippies go take drugs at their shows? Yeah those guys. Is there a 15 minute insane improvised jam in the middle of random songs? Yes.

I also listen to lots of other genres. I can get down with Ice Cube, or Radiohead, or Harry Chapin, or the friggin Charlie Daniels Band. I don't exactly fit in "the box".
