Just arrived in Knoxville from England (email me at jasonr1150gs.co.uk), I'm going to be here at least 4 years and would like to do some good music. Looking for a band, or to form band, that are happy playing once/twice a month locally. Hopefully we'll be good enough to pick where we play. Initially I would like to meet a singer (male or female) who is interested writing and performing original songs. I am happy to do the lion's share songwriting wise - so don't worry if your not a poet. Then we can go shop for a drummer and bass player.

Influences
Hmmm. I've been out and about seeing and meeting some people now, and I guess I'm not as 'open' on music styles as I thought. It's not going to be classic rock, guys. Anything with 'love' (or 'death', for that matter) in the lyric is out! Ha ha. So influences.... I like Blur, The Libertines, The Coral, White Stripes... and lot's more, but I don't particularly want to sound like anyone else. They have CD's for that.
EQUIPMENT
I've got a few guitars, a decent enough amp ('modeling' - woo, woo!) and a piano. I can acquire stuff as needed. Equipment lists are for (blank)s... what we need is some good songs, and tight leather pants (joking...)
