Band to Join, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Other Percussion, Keyboard, Other, Upright bass, Cello, DJ.

Starting my own band/project. I'm in my 30's, been playing in bands since I was 19, singing since I could speak and playing assorted instruments ( some training/ some self taught) throughout my life as well. Looking for experienced and talented musicians age range: 20's-50's. So, here's the deal: looks are all well and good I guess, but who you are, your ability and skill are what's most important to me.

A little about me... I’m an experienced, professional, versatile, somewhat trained rock vocalist/ front man/ lead singer ( you get the idea). Big range, powerful voice, project well ( can sing loud enough at times to not need a mic while band is playing loud and heavy) while maintaining pitch and tone. Emotive! Have both clean and gritty versatility ranging from: Brandon Boyd/ Chester Bennington's clarity as well as Chris Cornell's breathy somber and gritty belt voices). Sing as well: soft, loud, fast, slow, etc). I'm not much of a heavy screamer. I can do heavy screaming a LITTLE, but it's not my strong suit so I don't do it much.

Sound similar vocally ( in order or relevance and frequency of comparisons) to: Incubus/ AFI/ Linkin Park/ Tool/ Green Day/ Tiger Army/ QOTSA ( sounds like an odd combination right? But those are the comparisons others have given over the years in my different bands, and if you heard me sing it would make sense). Distinct and recognizable sounding voice though.

I've received mostly great feedback on my vocals but I try to stay humble and grounded as I hope you are about your playing ( no room for arrogance/egos) I'm not like that, I don't want you to be either. Let's stay decent. Energy/ presence/ enthusiasm are all great, but for the right time and place ( be reasonably laid back in general/ easy to work with and get along with, and KIND ( I can't stress this one enough, no dicks)/ team player, etc)

I’m a songwriter as well. Play guitar ( electric and acoustic), bass and trumpet but my primary focus is voice. Lots of stage and recording experience, everything from bars and basement shows to famous clubs and venues. Here's the deal with my band experience: every time I've tried to start my own project, I get recruited for other people’s bands, but I’m finally building my own group and am very excited about it! Very diverse genre wise in the rock spectrum but looking to have a distinct and notable sound as well. Looking for professional likeminded musicians to join my project. Easy to work with, kind, loyal and committed to others and the music and passionate about what I do, you should be the same.

Seeking: guitars (electric/acoustic)/ bass/ drums ( and aux percussion)/

POSSIBLY: keyboards/ (turntables, midi, programming) ( sparse and tasteful)), strings ( cello preferred), horns

Also, if you can sing and/ or write songs, a big plus! I'm not a snob about my songs, so if you have good stuff you wanna present and discuss I'm happy to hear it..

Old and new: Rock/punk/ alternative/ indie/pop sensibility while maintaining quality musicianship.

Some light influence of: Psychobillie /old school country/ soul/ some underground hip hop and turntables tastefully added into this project could work if done right, but sparse and tasteful.

NOT INTERESTED IN: Nickelback, Disturbed, Godsmack, Shinedown, Creed, Breaking Benjamin/ Seether/ Korn/Limp Bizkit/ Evanescense/ Daughtry ( no offense to any of them personally, they may be good guys in real life, but those bands are really not my thing) ultra progressive stuff/ growly metal/ jam bands, etc...if you're looking to sound anything like these bands or styles, this isn't the project for you...fair warning.
