ABOUT
I've been a lead guitarist on/off/then back on again in the rock genre since the early 70's. I've since, however, developed a deep love of jazz (modern, as well as bop, Amer. Songbook,etc) I'm no Pat Martino at this point, but I love improvisation and continue to learn as much as I can as I go. Having recently departed a great Soul band, Uncovered, I've devoted all of my attention to jazz, first with my quartet, 1000 Chords, and since, with The Vital Organ Trio, The Gary McCauley Trio, Eddie Crocetti & Friends, and more, enjoying the ongoing education that is jazz. Influences
Too numerous to include all, but: Burrell, Hall, Montgomery, Bernstein, Green, Metheny, Martino, Ritenour, to name guitar influences....In general, I love Dave Holland, Herbie Hancock, Gary Burton, Coltrane, Rollins, Miles. Ironically, you're most likely to find old Bill Evans Trio in my CD player on any given day.
