Keyboard, Vocalist.

ABOUT

I'm a semipro-quality keyboard player with 15+ years cover band experience, having played in classic rock and wedding/dance/pop band with 250+ song repertoire. I can also sing backup vocals, and can sing lead vocals on a few solo tracks (Elton John, etc.). I retired recently, and because learning and performing music is one of my favorite hobbies, I want to form or join a band of good quality, mature musicians who want to continue to grow as musicians and learn new songs and perform in local venues while creating a social group of friends for the long run. Note: I'm done with stereotypical cover bands (brown eyed girl, etc.). Instead, I envision a band that plays a mixture of fun, melodic rock, country, R&B, americana, or even reggae songs that grab listeners with strong vocals, iconic chord changes and riffs, anchored by a strong rhythm section of keys, bass, and drums. Email me for a proposed setlist.

Influences

I enjoy most musical genres, having traveled widely and lived in five states. Iconic keyboard players who have influenced me include Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Bruce Hornsby, Billy Preston, Floyd Cramer, etc. Examples of songs I currently want to cover: Mainstreet, You'll Accompany Me (Bob Seger), Oh, What a World (Kacey Musgraves), I'll Be Doggone (Marvin Gaye), Bound For Glory (Tedeschi Trucks), Crawling Back To You (Tom Petty), Heaven Help My Heart (Wynonna), Silver Springs (Fleetwood Mac), Angry Eyes (Loggins & Messina).

Members Of Band

I haven't been active in a gigging band since 2018 (prior: Party Quake, San Diego, Baytown Band, Capo Beach, etc.) but have continued playing for fun; and now that I'm retired I am looking to form or join an existing band.

EQUIPMENT

have PA, keys: yamaha s80, nord stage compact. I also have a practice space in my house (man-cave) that can accommodate a five or six piece band.
