ABOUT

Put Tudy on The Train began a simple concept: Start with a core of ultra-experienced musicians--make sure they jive seamlessly together—then let the creativity loose to create a unique, rock/blues based repertoire that shakes up an audience’s expectations about the limits of a performance. Original compositions that crowds instantly embrace—combined with customized covers of rock and blues selections by Dylan, Stones, Adele, REM, Hendrix, Cream, BB King and other consummate artists. The result? An intense and tight entertainment encounter that reminds one of the origins of some of rock’s most unique performers.

Members Of Band

Core Band Members:
Chris “JC” McNeil, Guitars:
Inspired by Hendrix and Page, Chris picked up the guitar as a teenager while recovering from a horrific blender accident and has hardly put it down since. McNeil’s improvisational style has been described as "Spacey Shred.” Other influences include John Scofield, Miles Davis, Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth.

Whitney “My name is not Tudy” Hanna, Vocals: Inspired at a very young age by many different musicians and genres, Whitney has always loved singing and performing as far back as she can remember. Her father gave Whitney her first microphone when she was around 6 years old and by age 13 was one of the top flutists in the North Carolina State band.

Robert “The Dode” Dodenhoff, Percussion:
Started percussion at age 12, taking lessons in the dank basement of an upstate, NY music store. Dodenhoff repeated rudimentary drum rolls--until his hands virtually twitched in his sleep. This classical training proved to be crucial for his highly syncopated style--playing off both the bass and lead elements with rhythmic rolls and jams.
