I just very recently moved to Austin from Hawaii to get involved in the music scene. I would not have moved here if I wasn't planning on taking it very seriously. Serious...but having fun with it to.
Playing and creating music has been my passion since the age of five. I played the violin when I was younger but switched to the guitar at 14. I begin writing simple songs soon after that and I feel my songwriting ablities have grown tremendously. I feel my guitar playing, with unique rifts and chord progessions combined with catchy lyrics are my strengths. My style is mainly acoustic. I enjoy having catchy intros and outros to songs, and to just take off at a point in a song and just jam. My lyric writing style is very diverse. After being in the military for five years and seeing many good things and bad things around the world I have much to write about. I am seeking good competant musicians who are willing to dedicate their time and efforts to form an acoustic rock/blues jam style band. I think music today has been dumbed down in many ways. I want to bring the music back into music. My plans for a potential band would be to play local gigs in the beginning, and make a recording. From there if this potential band is willing to, I would like to gain more territory and move out to venues further away from the local scene. I don't desire to have other musicians to be so called "back up" musicians. My ideal band would be one where everyone can shine and really show their talents.
