I've played piano for around 12 years (on/off). I've done mostly classical music (currently a senior in LaGuardia High School of Performing arts and Music and art) but I've also done some covers of songs (only piano though). I've never had singing lessons but would love to sing if given the chance and if taught. I have perfect pitch and I've also played:
Bassoon (4 years , was self taught, though I had around 10 private lessons somewhere in the middle, haven't touched in a while)
Flute + Piccolo (2 years, haven't touched in a while)
I have created some songs myself (piano only) though I've only recorded them and never actually wrote them out. My music is the background movie music type.
However, I am looking to really get to know all the other sorts of music. I'd like to be able to play rock (which is something I immensely enjoy listening to).

Like: Just about everything except rap (unless it's eminem) and I'm not a fan of extremely heavy metal. I do like Blue October, Fastball, Gackt, L'arc en Ciel, Garth Brooks, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Pierce the Veil, All time low, You me at six, Mayday Parade, Maroon 5 (early albums), Pink, Avril Lavigne, Chris Daughtry, Bon Jovi, 3 Doors down, Train, Shinedown, Lonestar, We the kings, Skillet!
Just so happens I'm influenced by:
Chinese music (my parents are chinese) but not the traditional kind. More like the recent-ish stuff such as Fairytale by guang liang and songs by she
Yamaha Piano, regular keyboard, Fox Bassoon
