I have been playing guitar since I was 11 yrs. old. Initial favorites were Jimi Hendrix, Richie Blackmore, Tony Iommi & Jimmy Page. In the 80's I was into Hard Rock & NWOHM, Judas Priest, Scorpions, UFO etc. Then I discovered Joe Satriani, Steve Vai & Yngwie Malmsteen and all the Shrapnel Records artists. Because of Satriani & his knowledge, I decided to study music theory. I studied that for 4+ years & created my own study guide, which I still use. I still like my old favorites, although I do seek out new Hard Rock bands & like some of them .
