Versatile, eclectic guitarist has added electric bass (fretless and non-fretless) to the mix after several years of working the bass chops up.
Looking for regular playing situation with good players, and prefer to do that as a bass player. Straight-ahead bop contemporary and modern jazz, funk, rock, blues, latin, improv. If it grooves and people are having fun, that is what we are after.
I'm a Berklee College grad and used to write music for Film /TV/Commercials. Currently non-pro, but still need to play and would like to play out again with the right situation. I would also be perfectly content to jam and never play out if it was the right vibe and players...
Also weirdly enough (for an early days jazz guy) I also play in a Grateful Dead cover band and Jam band... The Dead are all about the jams, lol...!

All of them. Not kidding: something to be learned from all art forms, genres, and sensibilities.
But if I have to: Michael Brecker, Chick Corea, The Dregs, Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Steps Ahead, all the original Jazz guys (Miles, Cannonball, Bird, etc.), John Patitucci, Richard Bona, Jaco (duh), Dave Weckl, country /Americana in various forms, Bonnamassa blues/rock, classical music of many eras -- and the list could, in fact, go on a long ways....
