ABOUT

Vulgar/gritty sounds... Rock & roll, 60's garage, surf, r&b, deep cuts, punk rock & roll (not into happy hardcore - later, so-called punk... I generally like the old hardcore bands best), Latin grooves, world music, a little lounge is fine,a little "heavy metal" is too... Not interested in very much "metal" from the 80's on... Hate hair metal, I like some goth... I like a lot of quick tempos, and hate most lazy sounding music, don't ever want to play it. Rough edges for me. Favorite singers for a band would be early 60's through 70's Tina Turner and Ronnie Isley.

EQUIPMENT

Quilter Tone Block 200 is what I use live for guitar and bass currently. A GK 4-10 cab for louder shows, Ampeg mini-stack for smaller venues, open mic, etc. For guitar I have a Fender Bass Breaker guitar cab, and a few other old cabinets, including a rotary speaker from a Conn organ.

Squier, Dano, Schecter, Jerry Jones and Burns - standard, baritones (A and B tunings), bass, bass VI, 12 string, and an Epiphone acoustic.

Percussion, a few mics and stands.
